Elders
Ian Jones, Lead Minister
Ian grew up in Wigan but moved to Rotherham, age 18, to work at Maltby pit. Ian has been the pastor at REC for over 15 years and also currently serves as the chairman of the trustees for the FIEC.
Alongside pastoral ministry, Ian also owns and runs a product design company. Ian is married to Jane and has five grown up children.

Ian Fenton, Assistant Minister
Ian and his wife, Denise, both grew up in Sheffield. After spending several years living and working in the Cayman Islands, Ian and Denise moved back to England and joined REC in 2013.

Ji Pattison-Smith, Elder
Ji first came to Rotherham as a Ministry Apprentice after graduating from Cambridge University in 2010. Since then, he's stuck around as a member of the church, married the lovely Hannah, and now works full-time as a website developer in Sheffield while studying on the Crosslands training course.

Elliot Hyliger, Assistant Minister
Elliot, his wife, Gillian, and their three young kids moved from Nottingham to Rotherham in 2020. After working as a UCCF staff worker and then as a digital media adviser for the Diocese of Sheffield, Elliot joined our pastoral team in 2023 and is currently doing a masters in theology & scripture with Union ST in Wales.
